Duncan Says: A wonderfully weird and unique wine from one of South Africa's most original winemakers

Tasting Notes: Aromas of shortbread and fresh cut apple, with a creamy, almond-loaded palate. Hints of honey are followed by a pithy note and a very long finish.

Grapes: Chenin Blanc, Verdelho, Clairette, Grenache Blanc, Marsanne, Roussanne, Viognier

Best Enjoyed: Lovely with fish, chicken or creamy pasta and risotto dishes.

Good to Know: The result of an eccentric scientific experiment in 2015 that saw a team of neuroscientists attaching probes to winemaker Pieter Walser's scalp and skin as he blind tasted 21 samples and blended wines. The idea behind this wacky white blend is to select the white components in the winery that the team like most and assemble a blend that represents that particular vintage in an honest, pure way. This is their favourite wine; not necessarily the best.
