Duncan Says: Burgundy from a well-regarded winery – you know it's going to be lovely
Tasting Notes: Ripe cherry, preserved fruits and delicate hints of fresh mint are underpinned by gentle oak spice. Supple and round.
Grape: Pinot Noir
Best Enjoyed: A great wine for proper 'peasant' dishes such as pot-au-feu. Delicious!
Good to Know: The arrival of the railway into Meursault in 1848 incited Jean Ropiteau to establish his own wine merchant house at just 24-years-old. By acquiring a remarkable patchwork of some of the finest parcels or ‘climats’ within the Golden Triangle, the modern Ropiteau Frères has become a specialist in Côte de Beaune and, most notably, Meursault.
