Feudi di San Gregorio 'Dubl' Spumante, Italy

First of all, let's freshen your palate and tickle your tastebuds with a fizzy delight, this 100% Falanghina metodo classico bubbly from Campania. Feudi di San Gregorio is a multi award-winning producer featuring in the 2021 Wine & Spirits Top 100 Wineries, and has produced a wonderfully fresh, aromatic sparkling wine with notes of crisp apple, peach and apricot complemented by floral tones; perfect for that breakfast bellini or mimosa (well, it is Christmas!).

Château Oumsiyat 'Cuvée Membliarus' Assyrtico, Lebanon

Next up is the perfect accompaniment for seafood starters: a fabulous Assyrtiko. Although the grape variety hails from Santorini in Greece, this wine is produced in Lebanon's Bekaa ValleyIts subtle aromas of white fruit and flinty mineral tones are framed by a delicate floral character. Linear on the palate with crisp acidity and citrus notes and a wonderfully mouthwatering finish.

San Marzano 'Edda Lei Bianco', Italy

The San Marzano Cooperative in Salento has been turning out high quality wines since 1962. This blend of Chardonnay, Fiano and Moscatel is rich and decadent, with aromas of sun-ripened peach and mellow floral notes, interwoven with delicate hints of vanilla. Fresh and beautifully balanced, the rounded palate is elegant and has a touch of minerality on the finish. The ideal white for Christmas turkey.

Akrathos Xinomavro, Greece

For a red to go with your Christmas dinner, this Xinomavro from Halkidiki is just the thing. Expressive and complex aromas of cherry and blackberry are complemented by sweet spice and vegetal tones. Matured in seasoned French oak barrels for 12 months, this wine is fresh yet opulent, with refined tannins and a long finish.

Michele Chiarlo 'Nivole' Moscato d'Asti, Italy

Into the realm of sweetness we delve, and this versatile, classic Moscato d'Asti is the sweet wine for all occasions. It has fragrant floral aromas seamlessly complemented by peach and apricot notes. The gently sparkling palate is delicate, light and creamy, with a silky texture and a refreshing finish.

Barão de Vilar LBV Port, Portugal

What better way to end Christmas Day than with a delicious Port? The LBV (Late Bottled Vintage) style can be underrated, but this gem from Barão de Vilar is intense, with great depth and a powerful, attractive bouquet. It's bottled unfiltered to retain as much character and depth as possible. Rich black cherries, berries and plums abound. Great with cheese, and a fabulous way to finish!
