Cabriz Espumante Bruto, Portugal
Your new favourite fizz! This super sparkling wine from exciting Dão producer Quinta de Cabriz is made with the Champagne method, but with indigenous Portuguese grape varieties. It's full of fleshy white fruit, citrus, biscuit and warm toasted cereals. Fruity, fresh, balanced and crystalline, with a crunchy finish and a captivating mousse. Sip it alongside a slice of warm panettone or get juicing to make that breakfast bellini or mimosa (well, it is Christmas!).
Undurraga Rosé Royal, Chile
What better way to put some pizzazz into your Christmas festivities than with something pink and fabulous? We have just the thing in this 100% Pinot Noir rosé bubbly from Valle de Leyda. Undurraga is one of Chile's most prestigious wineries, and this flagship fizz is the ideal apéritif, offering abundant notes of fresh red berries combined with subtle floral hints of rose.
Feudi di San Gregorio 'Dubl' Spumante, Italy
It's time to freshen your palate and tickle your tastebuds with our second fizzy delight, this 100% Falanghina metodo classico bubbly from Campania. Feudi di San Gregorio is a multi award-winning producer featuring in the 2021 Wine & Spirits Top 100 Wineries, and has produced a wonderfully fresh, aromatic sparkling wine with notes of crisp apple, peach and apricot complemented by floral tones; perfect for those fizzy Christmas cocktails!
Gusbourne Estate Brut Reserve, England
This classic Champagne-style beauty hails from Ashford, and is carefully fermented in both stainless steel tanks and old oaks barrels for extra complexity. The bouquet highlights aromas of cherry and strawberry, developing into attractive fresh pastry notes with a touch of cinnamon. The palate is clean and fresh whilst giving tones of bright citrus and soft stone fruit and a refreshing finish. A hugely classy option at any point on Christmas Day.
Collet ‘Art Deco’ 1er Cru Brut NV, France
With its fresh citrus notes balanced by developed biscuity notes from extended lees ageing, this is the ultimate celebration wine. Its delicate bubbles dance on the palate to a lovely long finish, and it offers a luxurious experience that effortlessly pairs with canapés or some delectable cheese.
