Venta la Vega Adaras Lluvia Blanco, Spain

Bodegas Venta la Vega has more than 850 hectares of farmland in the Almansa region, with vines growing at up to 1200m altitude. This fabulous blend of Sauvignon Blanc and classic Spanish varietal Verdejo is stuffed with mouth-watering stone fruit, lime and passionfruit flavours, backed up beautifully by steely minerality and complexity that punches well above its price tag.

Château Lestrille Bordeaux Blanc, France

An estate that holds the Haute Valeur Environmentale (HVE) certification, officially recognising the environmental performance of winegrowers, Château Lestrille embodies the very best of the Entre-deux-Mers appellation. A fantastic blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sauvignon Gris, Sémillon and Muscadelle, bringing intense aromas of citrus, lime and pear and unveiling an expressive mineral character on the palate. This wine is lively, with good length, and shows remarkable balance.

Venta la Vega La Entrada P7, Spain

Another beauty from the high altitude vineyards of Bodegas Venta la Vega, La Entrada is a Sauvignon Blanc from a unique, natural microclimate at the foothills of the Sierra del Mugrón. This wine glides through the glass with agility, and its intense aroma is reminiscent of grapefruit, tangerine and passionfruit. In the mouth, it has a very mineral character, dry, but still fruity with notes of blackberry and blackcurrant.

Jim Barry Assyrtiko, Australia

Jim Barry helped shape South Australia’s Clare Valley into one of Australia’s premier wine regions. His Assyrtiko comes from vines cloned and imported from Santorini, and is a beautiful wine filled with lifted citrus blossom and lemon aromas accompanied by notes of honeydew melon and spice. A Sauvignon Blanc-like alternative, it shows great flavour concentration and a full texture, with a flinty streak of minerality. Lively and crisp with an endless finish.
