Tasting Notes: An earthy, well-aged Rioja with complex aromas of dried oranges, savoury dried plums, mushrooms and tobacco. Bright and rounded by firm, juicy tannins.

Best Enjoyed: Great with tapas; sometimes, it's obvious for a reason!

Good to Know: Maria José López de Heredia and her winemaker sister, Mercedes, couldn’t care less about wine fashions. Their bodega in Barrio del Estacion in Haro is a living museum.
