‘The Trouble with Dreams’ Brut, Sugrue South Downs, Sussex, England

Duncan Says: This multi-award winning sparkling is easily the most exciting English wine I’ve tried. If you like your rich and oaked white wines, you will love this.

Tasting Notes: A classic blend of barrel-fermented Chardonnay and Pinot Noir boasting great purity and elegance, with lemon and apple aromas leading to a palate of delicate stone fruit and refreshingly crisp acidity. This is long, complex and absolutely delicious.

Grapes: Chardonnay 60%, Pinot Noir 40%

Best Enjoyed: The ultimate wine for smoked Salmon Starters and canapés, or enjoy with deep fried camembert

Good to Know: Sugrue South Downs is the personal project of celebrated English sparkling winemaker Dermot Sugrue.
